Divisions Agriculture division Core Crops: The company’s operations centre around the production of three core crops, such as macadamia, tea, and avocado. Speciality Crops: The company produces various speciality crops across three continents in six countries, such as avocado, barley, blueberry, cattle, forestry, wine, macadamia, maize, rubber, sorghum, soya, and tea. Engineering division This division is organized as Engineering North and Engineering South. Operating in the U.K. and Europe, products and services include new manufacture and repair of systems for the energy industry, industrial surface treatments and etch inspection. AJT Engineering operates under three brands: AJT, British Heat Treatments (BHT) and British Metal Treatments (BMT). AJT offers a range of engineering workshop services, specialising in the repair and manufacture of blow out preventers, offshore equipment, metal finishing services and maintenance for the onshore hydro electric sector. Abbey Metal Finishing Ltd Amfin offers high-end aerospace and industrial surface treatments from a facility in Hinckley, which is one of the world’s most modern processing and finishing plants. Providing over forty specialized finishing processes, it has strong technical capability and works with some of the world’s leading aerospace manufacturers. Atfin Atfin specializes in etch inspection of aerospace parts working with the world’s leading aerospace manufacturers. Atfin is run as a joint venture between Amfin and Aerotech Peissenberg. Food Service division This division operates in the U.K. Products and services range from high end loose leaf tea, to cold storage and refrigerated transport. ACS&T provides quality BRC accredited food logistics solutions for all temperatures. They provide distribution, consolidation, blast freezing, temperature-controlled storage, co-packing and production support. Jing delivers a range of teas that express the unique taste of their origin and tea maker. Investments division This division owns a number of investments, including a portfolio of listed stocks, investment property and a collection of art, philately and manuscripts. Investment Portfolio The company’s investment portfolio mainly comprises listed equities with a focus on Japan and Bermuda, across a wide range of sectors. Investment Property The company’s residential and commercial properties are in London, Norfolk, Bristol and Kent in the U.K. and in Malawi and Brazil. BF&M The company owns a 37.2% stake in the non-life and life insurer BF&M. Based in Bermuda it sells various life, property and casualty insurance products, as well as offering pension administrative services to the Caribbean market. BF&M has operations in 15 countries across the Caribbean where it is the market leader for insurance. United Finance The company owns a 38.4% stake in the financial institution United Finance Ltd. United Finance has a single product providing lease financing mostly to medium sized customers. United Finance operates through 19 branches across Bangladesh. United Insurance The company owns a 37.0% stake in the non-life insurer United Insurance Ltd. United Insurance offers a wide range of non-life insurance products in Bangladesh, and operates through 12 branches across Bangladesh with headquarters in Dhaka.
