European Operations The European operations comprise general insurance business written in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and 15 countries in mainland Europe. It also includes general insurance and reinsurance business written in the Lloyd’s market and reinsurance business written through its Dublin office. In December 2008, the company acquired PMI Mortgage Insurance Asia Limited, a mortgage insurer for lenders writing business in Hong Kong.
