About Central Natural Resources

Central Natural Resources, Inc. leases and develops mineral interests and surface property. The company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, CNR Production, L.L.C., engages in the acquisition, development, and management of working interests in oil and gas. As of December 31, 2008, the company had owned working interests in natural gas and oil producing properties in Texas in addition to whole or partial interests in approximately 52,000 acres of real property located in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. It owns all or part of the subsurface minerals on portions of the properties involved, but the minerals of primary interest to the company are coal, coalbed methane, and oil and natural gas. Customers The company’s customers include Smith Production, CDX Gas, Forest Oil, Newfield Exploration, Ross Explorations, SEECO, Wilkem, Inc., and Highland Oil & Gas. Acquisitions In June 2008, the company purchased working interests in certain oil and gas producing properties in south Texas. The acquired properties include a three percent working interest in approximately 175 wells across nine separate fields in south Texas.
