Tele2 AB (publ) provides mobile services, fixed broadband, digital entertainment, fixed telephony, data network services and Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions to consumers and businesses worldwide. Segment During the year ended December 31, 2018, the company’s Swedish business was split into two segments, Sweden Consumer and Sweden Business. The three Baltic operations included Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia segments. The remaining segments included Croatia, Germany and IoT. Significant Evenest In April 2019, Tele2 Russia has launched its mobile services in the Yaroslavl region. In June 2019, Tele2 and Bite have signed an agreement to create a joint venture with the intention to build, own and operate mobile networks in Latvia and Lithuania. The partnership includes sharing of active and passive network infrastructure and transmission for 2G, 3G, and 4G, as well as the upcoming 5G roll-out. The two operators' current radio and transmission networks would be merged, forming a joint shared network in each country. Each party obtains a 50% ownership in the joint venture in both Latvia and Lithuania. The joint network would be built out gradually starting 2021, with the network targeted to be established by December 31, 2023. In February 2020, Tele2 Russia has expanded the coverage of its LTE network in the Moscow Metro to provide services in stations and tunnels of the Zamokvorechye and Ring lines. The services already were available on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Sokolniki lines. The operator plans to cover the Kaluga-Riga and Serpukhovo lines by the end of this year. In March 2020, VimpelCom, MTS and Tele2 have signed an agreement to build infrastructure between the stations of the St. Petersburg metro lines with the focus of providing passengers with voice communication and high-speed mobile Internet services along the routes of their travelling. The cellular operators provide communication services in metro lobbies and on station platforms. The agreement would enable the 3 operators' subscribers to stay connected between the stations. In November 2020, Tele2 launched an updated version of the IoT Connectivity Management Service 2CONTROL in collaboration with Cisco.
