Delta Electronics Thailand Public Company Limited engages in the manufacture and export of electronic components. The Company supplies merchant power supply; video display products; and component products. Power Supply Switching Power Supply (SPS) is an integrated circuit system which provides stable direct current (DC) power supply from alternate current (AC) to computers telecommunication equipment and household appliances. The Company's power supplies include servers, adapters, chargers, uninterruptible Power System (UPS), rack power. Delta group is also developing DC to DC power supply for complex telecommunication equipment to be launches in the very near future. In Delta Electronics (Thailand), Power Supply Group also makes adapters, chargers, servers. Competition: The company's major competitors in this business are Astec, Hipro, Lite-on and SPI. Display Products The Company manufactures CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors. All CRT monitors are based on hot coil which consumes very high voltage to produce high frequency picture. It manufactures larger screen monitors such as 14 inch, 17 inch, 19 inch, 21 inch, and 23 inches. Competition: The Company competes with Taiwanese and Korean companies such as Philips, Acer, Tatung, Samsung and LG, etc. Components The Components segment comprises two divisions Magnetic and EMI Filters. Magnetic: Delta Electronics (Thailand) Plc. makes many types of magnetic components used by electrical appliances. The Company's magnetic components include: Transformer, which transforms AC to DC current; Line filter, which reduces ripple noise of AC output in rectifier circuit; Common Choke, which collectd energy of DC output; and Linearity Coil, which controls accuracy of horizontal lines in TV and monitors. Competition: The Company's magnetic component division competitors are ASTEC, Hipro, TDK, Minibea, Matsushita and Lite-on. EMI Filters: Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is an interference of electro magnetic field which causes malfunction of the electrical and electronic products. EMI filter is a component to reduce such interference in electronics devices which are sensitive to the interference, such as TV sets monitors, power supplies, and copying machines. The Company's EMI products are UL, VDE and CSA approved (under CCP program). The Company's EMI products are tailor made for many areas such as electrical appliances, measuring instruments, PC market, and 3-phase equipment filters.
