Joint Ventures The company holds various joint ventures operating in the food and beverage activities. These joint ventures are Froneri and Cereal Partners Worldwide. In 2016, the company launched a joint venture with Britain s R&R Ice Cream called Froneri. The company and R&R contributed their ice cream businesses across Europe, the Middle East (excluding Israel), Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the Philippines and South Africa to form the new company. The company also contributed part of its European frozen food business, as well as its chilled dairy business in the Philippines. Significant Events In 2019, the company had agreed to sell a 60% stake of Herta to Casa Tarradellas. The company and Casa Tarradellas would create a joint venture for Herta with their respective stakes of 40% and 60%. The joint venture includes Herta charcuterie (cold cuts and meat-based products) available in six European countries, as well as the Herta dough business in France and Belgium.
