Chemtrade Logistics Income Fund provides industrial chemicals and services to customers in North America and around the world. The company is one of North America’s largest suppliers of sulphuric acid, spent acid processing services, inorganic coagulants for water treatment, sodium chlorate, sodium nitrite, sodium hydrosulphite and phosphorus pentasulphide. The company is a leading regional supplier of sulphur, chlor-alkali products, liquid sulphur dioxide, potassium chloride, and zinc oxide. Additionally, the company provides industrial services, such as processing by-products and waste streams. In addition, the company sells a significant portion of its major products to large customers. It is also a large consumer of electricity. Segments The company operates through four segments: Sulphur Products & Performance Chemicals (SPPC), Water Solutions & Specialty Chemicals (WSSC), Electrochemicals (EC), and Corporate (Corp). SPPC markets, removes and/or produces merchant, regenerated and ultra pure sulphuric acid, sodium hydrosulphite, elemental sulphur, liquid sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, sodium bisulphite, and sulphides; and provides other processing services. These products are marketed primarily to North American customers. WSSC manufactures and markets a variety of inorganic coagulants used in water treatment, including aluminum sulphate, aluminum chlorohydrate, polyaluminum chloride, and ferric sulphate; and a number of specialty chemicals, including sodium nitrite, potassium chloride (KCl), phosphorus pentasulphide and vaccine adjuvants. These products are marketed primarily to North American customers. EC manufactures and markets sodium chlorate and chlor-alkali products, including caustic soda, chlorine and hydro-chloric acid (HCl), largely for the pulp and paper, oil and gas, and water treatment industries. These products are marketed primarily to North American and South American customers. Corp is a non-operating segment that provides centralized services, such as treasury, finance, information technology, human resources, legal and risk management, and environmental, health and safety support.
