Energy This segment primarily engages in the marketing of electricity produced in the Generation segment; procurement of electricity, natural gas and primary energy carriers; and trading with and sale of electricity and natural gas to end customers and on wholesale markets production and sale of heat. The company has 45.0% investment in ENERGIEALLIANZ Austria GmbH; and investment as sole limited partner in EVN Energievertrieb GmbH & Co KG. Generation This segment primarily engages in the generation of electricity from thermal production capacities; and operation of a thermal waste utilization plant in Lower Austria. This segment focuses on renewable energy sources at Austrian and international locations. This segment has 13.0% investment in Verbund Innkraftwerke GmbH (Germany); 49.0% investment in Walsum 10 hard coal-fired power plant (Germany); and 49.99% investment in Ashta run-of-river power plant (Albania). Networks This segment primarily engages in the operation of distribution networks and network infrastructure for electricity and natural gas in Lower Austria; and cable TV and telecommunication services in Lower Austria and Burgenland. South East Europe This segment primarily engages in the operation of distribution networks and network infrastructure for electricity in Bulgaria and North Macedonia; sale of electricity to end customers in Bulgaria and North Macedonia; generation of electricity from hydropower in North Macedonia; generation, distribution and sale of heat in Bulgaria; and construction and operation of natural gas networks in Croatia, as well as energy trading for the entire region. Environment This segment focuses on the water supply and wastewater disposal in Lower Austria; and international project business, including planning, construction, financing and/or operation (depending on the project) of plants for drinking water supplies, wastewater treatment and thermal waste utilization. All Other This segment has 50.03% investment in RAG-Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft, which holds 100% of the shares in RAG Austria AG; 73.63% investment in Burgenland Holding AG, which holds a stake of 49.0% in Energie Burgenland AG; and 12.63% investment in Verbund AG.
