Ltd. announced it has formed a subsidiary to produce vegetables for sale in the Tokyo area. The Japanese retail giant's new unit, Aeon Agri Create Co., would grow vegetables, such as corn, cabbage and soybeans by leasing a 2.6-hectare field in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, starting in September.
