Pipeline and Pipe Services This segment includes the following divisions: Pipeline Performance Group offerings include specialized internal anti-corrosion and flow efficiency pipe coating systems, insulation coating systems, weight coating systems and custom coating and field joint application services for onshore and offshore pipelines; Pipeline Performance Products includes Canusa-CPS that manufactures heat shrinkable sleeves, adhesives and liquid coatings for pipeline joint protection applications and Dhatec that designs and assembles engineered pipe logistics products and services. This operating unit was sold at the end of the fourth quarter of 2020; Shaw Pipeline Services provides ultrasonic and radiographic pipeline girth weld inspection services to pipeline operators and construction contractors worldwide for both onshore and offshore pipelines; Shawcor Inspection Services provides non-destructive testing services for new oil and gas gathering pipelines and oilfield infrastructure integrity management services; and Lake Superior Consulting provides pipeline engineering and integrity management services to major North American pipeline operators. Composite Systems This segment comprises the following divisions: Composite Production Systems manufacturers spoolable and stick composite pipe systems and high density polyethylene pipe used for oil and gas gathering, water disposal, carbon dioxide injection pipelines and other applications requiring corrosion resistance and high pressure capabilities. As of the acquisition of ZCL Composites in 2019, this unit also manufactures reinforced plastic underground storage tanks for the retail fuel, water and wastewater and oil and gas markets; and Oilfield Asset Management provides a range of tubular management services, including inventory management systems, mobile inspection, in-plant inspection and the refurbishment and rethreading of drill pipe, production tubing and casing. Automotive and Industrial This segment consists of the Connection Systems operating unit. Operations within this segment utilize polymer and adhesive technologies that are developed for the Pipeline and Pipe Services segment and are applied to applications in Automotive and Industrial markets. Connection Systems includes DSG Canusa, a global manufacturer of heat-shrinkable products, including thin, medium and heavy-walled tubing, sleeves and molded products, as well as heat-shrink accessories and equipment and Shawflex, a manufacturer of wire and cable for control, instrumentation, thermocouple, power, marine and robotics applications. History The company was formerly known as Shaw Industries Ltd. and changed its name to Shawcor Ltd. in 2001.
